There are three (3) ways to work with 3D file and image.
First
CAL add-in for SolidWorks
This allows you to use complete 3D file from SolidWorks and apply CAL bend table data base to the original SolidWorks file.
Second
In case of 2D dxf file only, multiple profile on CAL associates with imported 2D dxf file to create 3D image on the screen.
Third
The digital picture of the actual blank (flat/unfold) can be imported to CAL as image to match the profiles already created.
This creates 3D image from both picture and profiles.
